چکیده

In the field of cold bending, it is necessary to use ball mandrels, especially bend thin-walled tubes with a small radius. However, bending process mandrel complex and expensive, easy jam core inside tube. To solve these issues, we designed two kinds hollow non-ball schemes low stiffness that were suitable for radius tubes. We evaluated forming quality numerically influence section length thickness on indices. Our results showed has greater than length. As section’s increased, wrinkling rate first declined by approximately 40% then increased above 50%. When was 11 mm in scheme 1 13 2, reached minimum values 1.32% 1.50%, respectively. flattening decreased more 60% thinning about 40%. A multi-objective optimization indices carried out ideal point method grey wolf optimizer. By comparing before after optimization, feasibility using proposed proved, standard cylinder therefore recommended.

The Effect of Normal Anisotropy on Thin-Walled Tube Bending

Thin-walled tube bending has common applications in the automobile and aerospace industries. The rotary-draw-bending method is a complex physical process with multi-factor interactive effects and is one of the advanced tube forming processes with high efficiency, high forming precision, low consumption and good flexibility for bending angle changes. However, it may cause a wrinkling phenomenon,...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Analysis of the Rotary-draw Bending Process for Thin-walled Rectangular Aluminum Tube

The Rotary-Draw Bending (RDB) process is a distinguished process employed for the precision cold bending of a hollow tube with small radius bends using Numerical Control (NC) machines. This research presents an analytical model based on the power law hardening model for the RDB processing of rectangular thin tubes. Based on the constraints of the tube in the dies and its thinness, the plane str...

Analysis of Thin-Walled Structures Using Torsional-Bending Elements

In this paper a new element for analysis of thin-walled structures is presented, and the effects of secondary shear stresses on longitudinal displacements are examined. Since the Interpolation Functions are based on non-uniform torsional differential equations, the analysis of stiffness matrix is facilitated. Therefore, its ability to produce accurate results with the least number of elements i...
